Zo Martinique is in big trouble, formerly a Wraith capable of astral projection navigating the Abysmal plane; she realizes her abilities have been striped just when she needs them most. Her mothers soul has gone missing, the body an empty shell and without Wraith abilities, Zo will not be able to find it. Mounting evidence points to a Horror being loosed upon the world and somehow, Zo must find a way to dispatch it before it claims more victims. With the assistance of her sworn enemy, The Archer, Zo seeks answers but nothing could prepare her for the truths she must face.
Still reeling from the betrayal of Rhonda, her best friend and confidant, Zo has few resources at her disposal. Detective Daniel Frasier, Zos former love interest is certain she is lying about her health issues, he also thinks shes crazy and has terminated their budding relationship. Dags, an acquaintance from a previous encounter with the Abysmal reappeared just in time but even his enhanced abilities wont be enough to face the forces amassing against them if Zo cant go Wraith. Fast paced with a more complex storyline and better character development, the third Zo Martinique book is a satisfying paranormal read although some of the explanations are more confusing then need be.
