Well, this book is really really different from the rest of the books. I guess its kinda good cause its the sixth book and you dont want to read the same plot over and over. The romance did cut down a lot, its more about action and bad situations the brothers are facing. Phury, as the previous review, is forgotten a little cause John and his friends take most of the book but never the less, its a good read. Cant wait for Johns book. The books ends like if your watching a movie and BOOM!! it gets cut off. It leaves to many darn questions in the open, the end is not that good but well, its still a good read. You can tell J.R. Ward is trying something new a little here.
Well, like I said, its a good read still cause this author writes GOOD!! Its completly a different flavor. I give it a 7 out of 10 cause it leaves too many small plots and questions with no answers.

Lover EnSh was not the best of books. It wasn't bad, but it could have been much better without so many sub-plots. I never bonded with the main characters, Phury and Cormina. At times I forgot that it was their story.
I think what I missed the most in this book which was very evident in the first 3 books, was the bond of the brotherhood. In the end it felt like the original brothers were now old news and this new lot: John, Blay, and Quinn were taking over. It felt like Phury 'retired' from the Brotherhood to baby-sit a household of women. Not a fitting career ending for a once proud and fierce warrior. I also did not like the ick factor that seems to be creeping into the last two books. Barb wire, venom...takes the romance right out of a story for me. I must be honest; as much as I am a fan of this series, the last two books kind of sucked the excitement right out of me and I no longer do the re-reads or run out and buy the books when it's first out. Thank god for libraries.
