This is a companion title to the phenomenally successful "Spook\'s Apprentice Series". Discover how to bind a boggart and deal with a dead witch in this fascinating and lavishly illustrated Spook\'s own \'notebook\'. This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves the Wardstone Chronicle Spook stories. From the stunning cover design with its spooky pictures, antique leather look with clasps, this is a book to treasure.
Each page looks as if it has been hard worn, with creases, rough edges and lots of drawings bringing the creatures vividly to life. Julek Heller's drawings are absolutely wonderful. The Spooks Bestiary is the book of John Gregory and gives information about all the creatures he has encountered, and how they can be dealt with.
There are short stories such as The Cockerham Boggart showing Gregory in action and, of course, his encounters with the Lamia witches. As the book says, best not read after dark - it might give some unwary readers nightmares!
Brilliant and not to be missed; it is a highly inventive collection of stories and profiles providing lots of background to the main series.
