Dark Water – Book Review
By Angela Youngman Sep 30, 2010, 14:43 GMT

Dark and gritty, this is a crime novel not to be missed. Having read this one, I immediately searched out Caro Ramsay's other novels featuring DI Anderson and DS Costello.
The story lines are brilliantly complex and attention grabbing; while characters develop steadily throughout the novels. Anderson, Costello and their colleagues are very realistic characters - you can imagine them at work and trying to cope with personal relationships.
In Dark Water, the team is faced with a dead ex criminal hanging from a rope in a deserted house. Soon they come to the conclusion that a serial murderer is at work. The list of formerly cold cases starts to rise.
Who is the Mr Click who is intent on killing all his accomplices? And is there any connection with the murder of a pretty brain damaged woman found out on the marshes?
Or does it just muddy the water still further? This is a fascinating story, once started you just have to keep on reading until the end is reached. I look forward to more books by this very promising writer.
