It\'s a good thing Dru Anderson is fast. Because the sucker chasing her isn\'t slowing down-and he won\'t rest until he has tasted her blood and silenced her heart . . . Dru\'s best friend, Graves, and her strange and handsome savior, Christophe, are ready to help her take on the ultimate evil. But will their battle for Dru\'s heart get in the way of her survival? ...more
Another in the Strange Angels series - and it lives up to the reputation of the earlier novels. If anything, the series is getting stronger.
Dru Anderson is a fascinating character - a girl trying to come to terms with her strange identity as a night hunter, a rare creature called a svetlocha . Yet even as she learns her trade at the Schola Prima, she is pursued by enemies - and their identities are not clear.
Envy, hatred and jealousy combine to threaten her life and that of her friends. Who is friend and who is enemy? The answers are hard to find. The pace of the novel is fast, and really engrossing.
You can empathise with Dru as she struggles to survive. Dru is tough, yet has a heart and is very much a teenage girl struggling to survive. This is one of the best vampire/dark paranormal series around and is definitely worth reading.
