This is the latest title to join Fighting Fantasy\'s brand-new look! The multi-million selling gamebook series is back with a hugely popular revamped, updated package, a brilliant new interactive website and the monsters, dungeons and peril to capture a whole new generation of imaginations. Stranded miles from anywhere on a dark and stormy night, your only refuge is a distant ramshackle mansion. But the dangers outside are nothing compared to ...more
A welcome re-issue of these fantastic gamebooks which will appeal to those who already know the style, as well as an introduction to newcomers.
Rules have been revised making the books easier to pick and play making the story very much your choice. You are the hero - but will you succeed? Will you live or die? In Eye of the Dragon, a mysterious stranger offers the opportunity to find the highly valuable Golden Dragon.
Unfortunately it is hidden in a labyrinth beneath Darkwood Forest and guarded by all manner of fearsome creatures and deadly traps. While in House of Hell, you are stranded on a dark and stormy night with your only refuge being a frightening mansion. But it offers no real security from the storms since numerous nightmarish creatures live there. Can you survive the night without being scared to death?
The books are very readable and exciting. At each point you have to make a decision which can totally alter the whole course of the story. To make it harder, you can try rolling the dice and creating characters with specific attributes.
These are books that can be read time and time again and never will the stories be same. Perfect for anyone who enjoys fantasy, it will also appeal to boys who may otherwise be reluctant to pick up a book.
