By Sandy Amazeen Sep 6, 2011, 16:38 GMT

Completely revised, updated, and expanded for a new year, it\'s back- the only all-inclusive movie guide available in mass market format, hailed as "easily the most comprehensive book of its kind anywhere" (USA Today). ...more
From Aaron Loves Angela to Zu Warriors, this comprehensive movie guide is everything moviegoers and DVD junkies have come to expect from world famous critic, Leonard Maltin. Each entry includes the release date, availability, ratings from 4-star to BOMB, the director, stars and a short, often amusing synopsis as illustrated by Concord…Airport ’79 with “…Davidson’s hair stays in place when the plane is upside down…” Additionally, there is a list of the author’s favorite movies of the new millennium, an index of stars and a list of sources for those difficult to locate flicks. Particularly amusing is the movies not included, campy, funny ‘cause they’re so bad flicks like Zombie Strippers are given a miss and depending upon your point of view, that might be a good thing. It is entertaining to see how your perceptions of a film differ from the author’s and the only sore spot about this book comes from the title, the 2012 Movie Guide? Really?
