You are no doubt right about the likelihood that the last part of the book is delusional. While the CIA and military really did have a remote viewing program, it was not their modus operandi to dragoon immature teenagers into participating. Since the time the existence of the government RV program was officially revealed in 1995, there have been any number of people coming out of the woodwork claiming to have been part of it or some other preceding or concurrent program. All those claims that could be checked out have proved to be false.
