From Monsters and Critics.com Books News The AP reports that Darryl Strawberry, the former baseball slugger, will be writing a memoir. The book, which will be published by Ecco Press, a division of Harper Collins, described the book as such: “details his life growing up in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, his rise to baseball superstardom as a Met, Dodger, and Yankee, the high life and low life, his brushes with the law, his triumphant battle over cancer, his religious awakening, and his marriage to the love of his life." Strawberry, a talented baseball player, is also one who has had personal ailments as well, which the book will also address. The article also notes that the author will be John Strausbaugh.
