A Voyage Long and Strange: Rediscovering the New World. That is the title of Tony Horowitz’ new book.

USA Today describes the book as, “a blend of history, travelogue and journalism, revolving around Horwitz's adventures (and misadventures) in exploring the earliest and least-known encounters between Europeans and the natives, whom the English called ‘the Naturals.’”

Horowitz, who is a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, states that “he likes to get his hands dirty,” according to the article.

Jut to give a bit from the book description, “Tracing this legacy with his own epic trek—from Florida’s Fountain of Youth to Plymouth’s sacred Rock, from desert pueblos to subarctic sweat lodges—Tony Horwitz explores the revealing gap between what we enshrine and what we forget. Displaying his trademark talent for humor, narrative, and historical insight, A Voyage Long and Strange allows us to rediscover the New World for ourselves.”
