According to the NYT, Dmitri Nabokov, the son of Vladimir Nabokov, plans to “defy the wishes of his father” by publishing his father’s incomplete novel, rather than burning it.

The novel, whose title is The Original of Laura, has been in a bank vault in Switzerland for the past 3 decades, as well as being on a collection of 50 index cards, the article notes.

Nabokov is of course known for his novel Lolita. The article notes that his son would find it “very disturbing” if this last work was ignored.

He also mentioned that he would have no right to finish the work himself, so the book will be published as Nabokov left it: incomplete.
