IDW and Steve Niles Unleash War of the Worlds

The book, which is written by fan favorite Steve Niles, will present a new slant on the H.G. Wells’s classic science-fiction tale of an alien invasion of Earth.Niles's, who also wrote Little Book of Horror: Frankenstein and the smash hit 30 Days of Night, take on the story works with Wells’s timeless novel, and presents the story in prose excerpts.Artist Ted McKeever (Eddy Current) provides the stunning art and otherworldly painted illustrations of Martians - who are bent on conquering the planet Earth.In a press release, IDW’s Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall described McKeever’s artwork as stunning that captures a horrific look and feel of a dire alien invasion.“His painted spreads on this book are simply stunning, as were Scott Morse’s on the previous Little Book of Horror.” Ryall said in the release. “Working on these projects (the Little Book of Horror series) is really a dream, well, nightmare, come true.”Little Book of Horror: The War of the Worlds, will be a full-color, 48-page, 6” x 9” hard cover.
