Connery Ejects Autobiography Deal
By James Wray Mar 21, 2005, 10:23 GMT
Sir Sean Connery has pulled the plug on his autobiography yet again.
The screen legend had signed a deal last year for a seven-figure sum for gho0stwriter Hunter Davies to pen an account of his life from milkman to superstar.
It now seems the Scot has cancelled yet again; he pulled out of a previous agreement with another writer.
One possible explanation for the collapse of the agreement is Davies reputation for telling things straight without any rose tinting. It is thought Connery is looking for a flattering account of his career yet Davies was expected to delve into Connery's alleged womanising, wife beating and the stormy relationship he had with Bond producer Chubby Broccoli...most of which Connery denies.
So expect to wait a little longer for the book.
