Twilight author Meyer to release new vampire novella

San Francisco - Author Stephanie Meyer is to release a new novella based on characters from her best-selling teenage vampire series Twilight, she announced Tuesday.
The book, to be called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, will hit stores in the United States on June 5. According to a statement, the novella will focus on the life of Bree - one of the characters in the Twilight series.
In a brief statement, Meyer said the novella had originally been planned for The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, but was released on its own when it became too long. Meyer said she would donate one dollar from every book of the first run of 1.5 million copies to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund.
