Jessica, will thousands of people be reading your work 50 years from now?

So what's your argument? You don't care for the Beat writers so no one should. Nice job. Very insightful and informed. You totally convinced me. I'm going to go through out my copies of On the Road, Howl and Naked Lunch now. And my copy of Ariel, too, for that matter.

The fact that you express that you feel the need to say who The Beats are strongly suggests you are writing this with people who do NOT know The Beats in mind. Interesting. You want to convince people to feel tired of an entire writing collective, and a brilliant one at that I might add, who have not picked up a book of theirs.

You seem to consider the making of this graphic novel an affront, simply because they aren't 'tired of The Beats' as you for whatever reason - you never even attempt to make it clear, yourself. So, we are left with the consideration that you simply think we should feel tired because you do.

If you don't mind, I won't be dropping Junky in the trash just yet.
