The AP reports that the Irish writer Christopher Nolan has died at the age of 43.
According to the article, the author choked on a piece of food. He also suffered from cerebral palsy.
“Nolan's brain was starved of oxygen during birth, leaving him unable to speak or control his arms or legs. He might have remained isolated from the outside world were it not for a drug, Lioresal, which restored some of his muscle function. His parents nurtured their partially paralyzed son's literary talent,” the article states.
The article notes that Nolan “disliked sentimental stories about his disability.”
His autobiography titled “"Under the Eye of the Clock: The Life Story of Christopher Nolan” was called: “In passages that are lyrically descriptive, there is abundant word coinage and expressive neologisms that capture Nolan's thoughts on sexuality and gratitude for the ambiance that supported him during his year at Trinity College,” by Publishers Weekly.
