Condoleezza Rice’s book deal

Ms. Schneider:

Speaking of 'quality writing', this paragraph from your article about Condi Rice and her book deal struck me as amusing:

'Rice has received much criticism for having loyalty to George W. Bush, and for also for other reasons. Though the blood-sucking publishers feel there will be an interest in her story, and publishers will publish anyone who is famous because they don’t care about quality writing anyway.'

Do you realize how poorly that paragraph was constructed? Do you want to go back and 'revise and extend' your remarks? Oh, you're not in Congress, so no soup for you! I'm not sure that Condi Rice deserves any backhanded criticism about her writing from someone who can't put together a proper critique.

I suspect that Condi Rice's tell-all (which is apparently supposed to address those famous lesbian rumors, as well as other aspects of her famously sheltered personal life). I say let her close on her book deal and get her groove on, as it were.
