Publishers prepare for Bush memoirs

It should be no surprise that the publishers are already preparing for Bush memoirs, once W. has left office. Due to Bush’s unpopular Presidency and low approval rating, some think waiting might be the way to go. The AP article states:“If I were advising President Bush, given how the public feels about him right now, I think patience would probably be something that I would encourage,’ says Paul Bogaards, executive director of publicity for Alfred A. Knopf.” Knopf is the publisher of Clinton’s bestseller, “My Life.” The AP also states:“Publishers say that besides Bush and Cheney interest likely will focus on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who has said she wants to write a book, and on Laura Bush, who has said nothing about a memoir, but could continue a recent trend of first ladies outselling their husbands.”Click here to read more, though it’s doubtful the public is paying much attention to old Bushy right now anyway.
