Jess’s Book Pick for November: Big Fish by Daniel Wallace

This book won me over the first time I read it. The full title is: Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions, and if you recall there was a film made a few years ago, but I’m here to talk about the book.

This novel is a short quick read in the best possible sense, and if you’re looking for something enjoyable, I encourage you to visit this. A review of the book can be found here. Likewise, an in-depth interview with the author can be found here. Publishers Weekly said: “In a plainspoken style dotted with transcendent passages, Wallace mixes the mundane and the mythical. His chapters have the transformative quality of fable and fairy tale, and the novel's roomy structure allows the mystery and lyricism of the story to coalesce.”Penguin is the publisher of this edition.
