Harry Potter goes to court

Well his mother anyway. That is, Ms. Rowling, who, according to a recent AP article, will be battling with a fan over her copyrights. The fan wishes to publish an encyclopedia loaded with Harry Potter tidbits, and the court will decide if this is in fact a violation of Rowling’s copyright. J. K. EPA/PETER FOLEYThe fan’s name is Steven Vander Ark and the article notes that the battle will be held in the U.S. Court District in Manhattan. Harry Potter Lexicon is the book’s title and according to the article, Rowling believes that it is “nothing more than a rearrangement of her own material.”More of course can be read courtesy of the article.
