Helen Mirren shares life in new book
By M&C News Apr 1, 2008, 10:30 GMT

Helen Mirren, 62, has a new memoir called In the Frame: My Life in Words and Pictures. Mirren of course is most known for her Oscar winning role in the film The Queen for playing Elizabeth II.
“The book features lots of photos, ranging from the childish to the sensual. There she is at age 12, on the beach; on stage as Cleopatra in a 1982 Royal Shakespeare Company production; and lying with a breast exposed in a milk bath, just one of a series of artsy photos taken by photographer James Wedge, an ex-boyfriend,” USA Today notes.
According to the book description, “Helen's many distinguished roles in theatre, cinema and television and the illustrious men and women she has encountered are commemorated, as well as her forays into Hollywood and her subsequent life in the United States with her husband, film director Taylor Hackford. Golden Globe and Oscar ceremonies make their appearance, as do many stunning images of Helen by the world's leading photographers. In the Frame: My Life in Words and Pictures is a book to savour, created and written by one of the great personalities of our age.”
