Leaders: our new spoken word nominees?

USA Today has an interesting article about this years spoken word nominees. Who are they? Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter. As a way of ranking them, the three “finalists” are all critiqued according to the voice, the pace, the message, and the highlight. For example, can you guess which one this describes? “[his] famously disarming drawl is in full force in this reading of his book, almost making philanthropy sound as sexy as club-hopping.”Yep, Bill Clinton. And which one’s pace is described as such: “Easy like a summer breeze; you half expect to hear the creak of a rocking chair or the clink of a lemonade glass.” Click here for the USA Today article and find out.
