New Stephen King novel: Duma Key

The NYT has reviewed Stephen King’s latest novel called Duma Key. According to the reviewer, “Duma Key is about characters whose near-death experiences have given them psychic powers. That may make it sound fanciful, but this novel is frank and well grounded.”

The book touches upon the idea of memory and that ties in with the lead character’s interest in painting. “The tenacity of love, the perils of creativity, the mysteries of memory and the nature of the supernatural -- Stephen King gives us a novel as fascinating as it is gripping and terrifying,” the book description notes. An excerpt is available off Amazon, and those readers interested in knowing more should visit the NYT review. Scribner is the publisher, and the book finishes at just under 600 pages.
