New bio on Condoleezza Rice

Elisabeth Bumiller has written a new bio on Condoleezza Rice called Condoleezza Rice: An American Life: A Biography.

The NYT has noted, “In Ms. Bumiller’s rendering Ms. Rice is neither hero nor villain but an ambitious woman whose achievements and shortcomings speak for themselves.”According to the book description, the book offers, “Drawing on extensive interviews with Rice and more than 150 others, including colleagues, family members, government officials, and critics, this book offers dramatic new information about the events and personalities of the Bush administration. With great insight, Bumiller explores Rice’s effectiveness as national security adviser and secretary of state, her attempts to revive classic American diplomacy, her longtime political ambitions, and her future on the world stage.”Random House is the publisher, and the bio finishes at 432 pages. The NYT review has also mentioned, “Ultimately Ms. Bumiller’s book will be seen not just as a discussion of Ms. Rice’s role in shaping one administration’s missteps in foreign affairs but also as a cautionary tale about the gap between ambitious presidential appointees and their unwillingness to speak truth to power.”Click here to read the full NYT review.

does the book speak about Rice's sexual preference? We all know she is a lying dog but good at winging it in her assignments, but she won't admit what many know to be true. And why does she always ask to fly with the Vice President and his daughter on long flights?
