Ted Kennedy will write memoir

The AP reports that Senator Ted Kennedy will write a memoir. He is the last survivor of the group of famous brothers that people have come to know so well. The article did not disclose financial specifics, but stated that it would be along the lines of what both Hillary Clinton and Tony Blair have gotten for their books—eight and nine million, respectively. The book has yet to have a title, but is scheduled to come out in 2010, the article states. The book will be published by Hachette imprint Twelve, founded by Random House editor Jonathan Karp. Karp stated that the book is not about making money but that “I think it's about telling a story that only he can tell. He's both seen history and he's made history. His perspective is unique, and it would be a tremendous loss if he did not put his experiences in writing," Karp stated in the article.
