J.K. Rowling on U.S. book tour
By M&C News Oct 16, 2007, 15:36 GMT
Reuters reports that J.K. Rowling has begun her U.S. book tour. The article indicates this is her first tour in seven years. She spent much of her time signing copies of Harry Potter books—a whole 1,600 of them.
The tour kicked off in Los Angeles, and the article reports that New York and New Orleans are also on the list.
Many people made jokes with the author, asking if all that signing hurt her hand. But Rowling indicated she was pleased to do it.
"I really miss being able to interact directly with the readers. Everyone keeps saying, 'it must be so onerous. Doesn't it hurt your hand?' But, honestly, that's the bit I really enjoy," Rowling is quoted in the Reuters article.
