The BBC reports that because of various flooding, that postmen could not do their normal rounds because of the rising waters.
The article reports that fans had ‘resigned’ to not having any Harry Potter that weekend after they saw the waters outside the post office. The final installment for the series went on sale Saturday.
“Evesham was the scene of dramatic rescues over the weekend as it became cut off by flood water,” the BBC states. The article also mentions that the postman, Richard Yates, loaded up Harry Potter books in his car and made the deliveries himself.
Fans were thrilled by the kind gesture and to have their books in hand. For more information, read the article here.
