Alex Rodriguez signs copies of book for fans
By M&C News Jul 24, 2007, 10:04 GMT
Yankees star Alex Rodriguez went out and signed copies of his recent children’s book Out of the Ballpark, according to the Associated Press. He spoke with fans in both English and Spanish.
The Spanish version of the book is titled ¡Jonron! People were lined up around the block at an FAO Schwarz toy store near Central Park South and weaved its way around Madison Avenue, the article reports.
Rodriguez told the AP that he wrote the book because of his daughter, who loves to read. He also admits that he wishes he read more as a child.
During the reading, it was his wife Cynthia who actually read from the book while Rodriguez turned the pages for the kids so they could follow along with the illustrations, the article says.
Competing with Harry Potter, all in all it wasn’t a bad turnout. For the full article, click here.
