Teens are already camping out for Harry Potter

According to CityNews, two teenagers, both from Alaska, have been camping out in front of a California bookstore in a camper. With less than a week to go, the article states that the sisters began their ‘vigil’ 11 days ago. In the mean time, they have their parents switch off staying with them, and during the days they browse the bookstore while friends bring them food. Call me old fashioned, but I think it’s a bit much. This camping out thing might put one in mind of the mid 1990s, when Jonathan Larson’s musical Rent was being performed night after night and sold out each time. People camping out overnight for tickets became known as ‘Rentheads’ and claim to have met some of their best of friends while waiting in line. But since the girls are teens and it is summertime, let them build their memory, I guess, since it’s not hurting anyone. And hey, they even made it into the press. Gulliver's Books is in Fairbanks, Alaska - not Fairbanks, CA. (I don't even think there is a Gulliver's Books in California...)

It makes sense that since they are from Alaska they would be camping out in front of an Alaskan store, doesn't it?
