New novel by Michael Connelly
By M&C News May 21, 2007, 10:24 GMT

Known for his authentic dealings with police work, in his new book, The Overlook (on sale Tuesday), Michael Connelly originally wrote this as a 16-part serial for the New York Times Magazine. Connelly has expanded and revised it into its present form as a novel about a body found on an overlook near Mulholland Drive in L.A.
This will be Connelly’s 13th novel, where he has his protagonist Harry Bosch reuniting with his former flame, FBI agent Rachel Walling. Will a love interest be rekindled? One will be unable to contain the wonder and anticipation. Will they solve the mystery when it comes to the dead body or will Bosch just be frolicking about with his old girlfriend?
Critics are saying this book unfolds like an episode of 24. Heart-stopping, chair-gripping excitement. Be thankful this will be out on Tuesday because how could readers be expected to wait so long? Published by Little, Brown, this novel finishes at 240 pages.
