Another book awaits the musician Sting
By M&C News May 2, 2007, 10:58 GMT
The Lyrics of Sting, a book that will feature every song he wrote, will be out this fall. The book will feature his solo work as well as that which was done with the Police, the band he was not only the lead vocalist for, but also the bassist.
Among them will be the classics “Roxanne,” “Every Breath You Take” and “Spirits in the Material World”. There will also be additional commentary by Sting, to accompany each song.
This is not the first publishing gig for Sting. His memoir, Broken Music, came out in 2003. This latest work will be published by Dial Press, which is an imprint of the Bantam Dell Publishing Group. "Over time, the meaning of a song can continue to reveal itself," Sting said.
"In putting this book together, I have relished the opportunity to revisit my songs, the times in which they were written and pay tribute to those with whom I've shared my creative life."
