Many fans of Marvel have insisted on bringing back some of their most beloved novels back into comic book form. Marvel Illustrated, the House of Idea’s latest line featuring the legend Roy Thomas as well as other various artists will bring back to life such treasured gems as The Last Of The Mohicans, Treasure Island, Man In The Iron Mask, among others.
In this series, Marvel promises to retell the renowned tales though graphics, all the while staying true to these literary tales. Told in six full-length issues, this is a limited series of our most adored classics done Marvel style.
This July, Marvel Illustrated will feature the 1847 novel The Man In The Iron Mask by Alexander Dumas. With art by Hugo Petrus, this will certainly be an adventure, as readers relive the tale of Louis XIV, who rules France for his own personal gain and power. Only then will we have our hero emerge from prison- Louis’ twin brother, who is the only one who can restore dignity to the French rule.
