I saw that interview with Oprah, my problem with Frey when I'm speaking with anyone there is allot of eye contact, I found him to be a bit aloof, and had a really hard time looking Oprah into the eye. That reaction bothered me. His story may be embellished, its a good story for those who need and want to reach out for help, it purely fiction but who am to say.

Oprah next time ask for proof and more proof. I hated what he has done to your reputation.

cut the guy some slack, we all lie sometimes... geez. and to besides, the whole movie/book industry is based on hype to get us to empty our pockets to read/watch what they come up with. give the guy a break and remember the essential points - redemption over drugs.
