This book is terrible. I am typically a Patterson fan, but this one is predictable, dull, and just plain annoying to read.
This book was a really big let down. It is both predictable and confusing, with an incredibly unsatisfying ending and a very unlikeable protagonist. By the time I was halfway through the book I still didn't see what the point of anything that had happened was. It's hard to get worked up over all these dire 'warnings' when you don't even know what they are supposed to pertain to. Because of this, I felt almost no suspense while reading. I also don't understand why Patterson decided to write a book dealing almost with the supernatural with no warning. I thought it would be a regular thriller/mystery, not this weird cross between thriller and ghost story. In all - unsatisfying, and somehow both predictable and confusing.
