Book Review: T-rex Trying

Poor T-Rex. It\'s hard to be the Lizard King when you can\'t even change a light bulb. Drawn from Hugh Murphy\'s wildly popular Tumblr feed of the same name, T-Rex Trying depicts the stubby-armed tyrant in a range of hilarious-yet pathos-inducing-activities that we humans take for granted. Murphy\'s 100 drawings include: T-Rex Trying to Paint His House T-Rex Trying to Use a Drive-Through ATM T-Rex Trying to Apply Sunscreen ...more

What started as a joke rapidly took on a life of its own as Hugh Murphy’s redundant yet hilarious view of what life would be like for the world’s most fearsome predator acquired a worldwide following. Now you too can enjoy Murphy's twisted look at the Tyrant Lizard King attempting to use an ATM, paint his house, pursue falconry, ride a horse or rescue the cat from a tree. From his useless tiny arms to massive tail, T-rex has serious difficulty negotiating the simplest task and these cartoons reveal those daily tragedies with laugh-out-loud results. Don’t be surprised if you start looking around, wondering what T-rex would do.
