Spider-Man: House of M hits June 22
The House of Ideas is set to start rocking in June as the highly anticipated House of M miniseries begins, and its wake spills over into other flagship titles such as Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and Iron Man.
The mega event is set to kick off on June 1 with the first issue of House of M, written by fan-favorite Brian Michael Bendis with pencils by Olivier Coipel, with the first spin-off, mini-series, Spider-Man: House of M, set to begin June 22.
The House of M delivers a threat to the Marvel universe so deadly that it forces The Avengers and the X-Men to join forces. The only problem is that the threat now comes from a former ally and friend – The Scarlet Witch Wanda Makimoff. With Wanda’s powers out of control and the fate of the world in their hands, the two teams must turn to Magneto for help. The question every comic fan has been asking for months is will Magneto help his daughter or use her powers to serve his benefit.
Spider-Man: House of M kicks off the spin-offs with #1 (of 5) and is co-written by comic legend Mark Waid and Tom Peyer. It features art by Salvador Larroca. The story features Spider-Man –hero of the people and World Wrestling Alliance Championship titleholder?? Peter Parker has it all, but he also has a destructive secret that he keeps from the world and his family. It is a secret that could unravel the reality he knows.
Iron Man: House of M #1 (of 3) hits comic stands on July 6 and is written by Greg Pak with pencils and cover by Pat Lee. The story features Tony Stark who is described as the smartest, most successful Sapien on the planet—the best and brightest of a dying species. Does it bother him that the House of M uses the technology produced by Tony’s multi-billion-dollar company to keep Sapiens down? That must be the reason he keeps his most powerful creation a secret – a familiar-looking suit of armor!
Fantastic Four: House of M begins July 6
Fantastic Four: House of M #1 (of 3) will also be available on July 6 and is written by John Layman with pencils and cover by Scot Eaton. The story will feature the Fantastic Four as you never could have imagined them! The trusted advisor at Magneto’s right hand is almost certainly the second most powerful man in the world. But the question is…will second-best be enough for Victor Von Doom?
These and other titles that will come in the aftermath of the House of M story will ensure that the Marvel Universe and comic fans will have a lot to keep them busy this summer.
