Finch Takes On Spidey in Spider-Man Unlimited #14 and Marvel gives us a peek
By M&C News Jan 31, 2006, 9:28 GMT

David Finch - the man who disassembled the Avengers and put the "ultimate" in Ultimate X-Men - is taking a crack at Marvel's signature hero, Spider-Man and Marvel sent us a three page peek at what the art is going to look like.
That's right, superstar Finch is penciling a Spider-Man story in the pages of Spider-Man Unlimited #14. Writer C.B. Cebulski has been looking for a chance to work with Finch for years, going back to his days as a Marvel editor, and now he need wait no longer.
"David and I kinda came up together at Marvel as I started editing him on one of his initial X-Men Unlimited stories," recounts Cebulski in a Marvel press release. "From there we moved over to The Call, then onto Ultimate X-Men. We've become great friends over the years and have always wanted to work together on a more creative level."
Cebulski made sure to jam-pack the story for Finch as not only does the Black Cat guest-star, but Dr. Doom makes an appearance after Spider-Man breaks into...Doctor Doom's embassy? Before David Finch blows everybody away with his revamp of Moon Knight coming this April, you cannot miss his amazing take on Spider-Man in Spider-Man Unlimited #14.
"When Marvel read my Spider-Man Unlimited script, someone mentioned it would be the perfect story for Finch to tackle," said Cebulski. "The stars must have been in alignment as it just so happened David had a hole in his schedule between New Avengers and Moon Knight that needed filling, and I'm honored he accepted the assignment. As you can tell from the pencils, I believe he had a blast drawing it!"
Here is just a peek of what fans can expect from Finch and company in Spider-Man Unlimited #14:
