Jim Reaper Joins the Silent Devil Family

Silent Devil Productions and creator Dwight L. MacPherson have announced that Jim Reaper will be joining the publisher's summer 2006 line-up.

"Fearing an imminent breakdown, the Grim Reaper decides to take a Holiday. After an exhaustive search for a replacement, he finds only his cousin's nephew's son to collect the souls of those who are perishing,” MacPherson describes the character. “He is Jim Reaper. The only problem is that this bright-eyed Reaper is scared of his own shadow!"

Silent Devil is known for the cult favorite title Dracula vs. King Arthur, Runes of Ragnan (now at Image's Shadowline imprint), and Bubba the Redneck Werewolf, which has been optioned for feature film treatment.

"I am extremely excited that Jim Reaper has found a home with Silent Devil!" MacPherson said. "I've been watching these guys for a while and have been impressed by their overwhelming support of Silent Devil's projects and respect that they show their creative talent."

this kind of quality work is rare,” Silent Devil EIC, Christian Beranek said of Jim Reaper. “I can't wait for the fans to check out the Jim Reaper strips beginning this summer!"

The first 32-page full color one-shot "Jim Reaper: Week One" will be
released in July.
