By Sandy Amazeen Jan 3, 2012, 2:29 GMT

Eastwood Elementary has a new student, and he\'s nothing like the other kids in 3G. Fangbone is a barbarian warrior from another world! And he\'s been charged with the task of keeping a deadly weapon from Skullbania\'s vilest villain, Venomous Drool. Can Fangbone\'s new classmates team up to help him triumph over hound-snakes, lava-ferrets, and his first pop quiz? ...more
The only one willing to leave an upcoming battle and hide the Big Toe of Drool, an evil sorcerer attempting to kill all the clans, is young Fangbone. Although he’s just a boy, Fangbone insists he is a warrior and ready for the challenge of keeping the Big Toe safe in a different world, our world. Once here, Fangbone discovers third grade, plumbing, hot wings and more with hilarious results. As he works to vanquish the evil minions sent to steal the Toe, Fangbone also makes friends and discovers the importance of teamwork.
First of a new series, this entertaining graphic children’s novel is sure to captivate the interest of even the most reluctant readers, especially boys. Filled with plenty of action, wit, monsters and “gloobus”, Rex also includes important messages about coping with bullies, being different and fitting into new situations, all with a light touch. Fangbone and his fast friend Bill are certain to face more monsters and challenges as they navigate the tricky business of growing up.
