As James Beverly\'s publisher, it may seem somewhat impossible for me to be objective. However, the Seamus ... stories ...touch the heart, open the mind, and tickle the funny-bone of children and adults alike...The reader steps into a safe world, where things turn out well for the "good guys" and not so well for the "bad guys." This charming collection of children’s stories centers around the adventures of Seamus, an intelligent, very articulate Shetland sheepdog. Each story deals with an important issue like bullying, being different or treating innocent animals properly, problems some children have difficulty understanding.  Presented from Seamus’s point of view complete with a special “doggie-speak” language which would be great fun for parents to read aloud using different voices and illustrated with cute pencil drawings, these stories are perfect for sharing with the little people in your life. The appendix provides parents and caregivers with a helpful discussion guide to each chapter with techniques, tips and questions about the important lessons presented to encourage children to think about and learn from the stories. While these engaging tales are terrific on their own, throw in the important life lessons and you have an excellent children’s book.
