What california is doing to Colton Simpson makes my stomach churn. I've read the book, Colton did his share of dirt but he also paid dearly for those choices by spending half his life in prison. He made dramatic changes within his self and was determined to use this book to help up and coming youngsters . This wasn't something being put out there to big up his status with the gang, He had already gained respect and ghetto celebrity status within the crips and now that he's made positive choices to help stop some of this madness they use this against him. I can relate to Colton because I joined the gang as a youngbuck (insane gangsta deciples) and eventually ended up doing state and federal prison terms. It just goes to show that you can only appreciate cercumstances such as the ones Colton has been thru, and see that he was on the right track if you been in his shoes and dealt with similar situations, it's pretty obvious the cali. officials who felt the need to push this haven't been. There sending the worst possible message to the youth of this country by saying hey why change your life and do some good cause we will still come after you , I think he did a good thing with this book and hope he wins his freedom (it's well deserved). keep ya head up kenfolk!!
