Rick Perry, the GOP Texan hopeful who claims to be a true conservative, has unleashed the most pointed of ads heralding his wish to return America to the days of faith and roses.

Rick Perry, the GOP Texan hopeful who claims to be a true conservative, has unleashed the most pointed of ads heralding his wish to return America to the days of faith and roses.Except the jacket he wore was a doppelganger to the one worn by "Brokeback Mountain" star Heath Ledger, a closeted gay man in the film.

What's the big deal? Well, the Halcyon days that Perry yearns for also may not include gay marriage or gays being open in the military, based on his ad.Perry's newest television ad also has divided his camp, sources in the Perry campaign tell The Huffington Post.The spot, which began airing in Iowa on Wednesday, features the governor questioning why soldiers can serve openly in the military while children "can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school."
