Never mind the fact that there is an all-out war on the Texas-Mexico border where thousands of people are being killed by meth and coke running desperados, who will gun down anyone that gets in their way; the State of Texas apparently felt the need to waste man power and money going after an old man who has always touted his usage of marijuana.

Willie Nelson, aka the Red-Headed stranger, is a long-haired American singer who has awesome Fourth of July picnics in Texas hill country, was arrested for pot in the Lone Star State.
Nelson was charged with marijuana possession on Nov. 26 in Texas after police confiscated 6 ounces of marijuana on his tour bus, and was held on a $2,500 bond before being released.
The bust happened at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint after the singer-songwriter's bus pulled in Friday morning and an officer smelled pot from the vehicle's open door.
Nelson, who was among three people arrested, admitted that the pot belonged to him, according to the Associated Press, via kvue.com.
