People's actions speak loud and clear of their character. The flaunting of immense wealth during hard, lean times for so many is poor taste. End of story.

At least Angelina Jolie, with millions tucked under her belt, scrubs her face and puts on a burqa, getting out there to help people who are suffering. Brad Pitt rolls up his sleeves and rebuilds New Orleans. You never see either one in Hollywood gifting suites pigging out on swag freebies.
Case in point: Calabasas retailer, one-time porn star, trust fund baby and former BFF to the lowly Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian is reportedly celebrating her 30th birthday with a diamond encrusted cake, estimated to be worth over $1 million dollars per Radar Online.
This cake is aiming to break the $1.65 million dollar cake record. Such lofty goals! Imagine if Kim actually just asked her celeb friends for donations in lieu of gifts for a favorite charity, one that doesn't contain the letter "K'"
The other Diamond Dog in the news is ego monster Kanye West, who appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show yesterday. Apparently, he has not read of the heartbreak, pain and suffering Lil' Wayne has undergone with his cesspool blinged out choppers. Allegedly Wayne's diamond and gold encrusted teeth rotted so bad his breath leveled anyone within 15 feet of him.
Alas, Kanye has taken his perfectly good bottom teeth and 86ed them for choppers made of gold and diamonds. “You just put it on top of your teeth?” DeGeneres asked. “No,” the rapper replied. “It’s, like, replaced my bottom row of teeth.”
“I thought the diamonds were cooler,” he said.
