Charles Phillips, an advisor to President Barack Obama and part of the current United States Administration, was taken down publicly the last few days buy his irate mistress, 42-year-old YaVaughnie Wilkins of San Francisco.
A three-city billboard and on-line campaign by Wilkins was launched over speculation he was returning to patch things up with his estranged wife Karen, who he is still married to.
Wilkins is the mistress of Oracle co-president Phillips, whose family members tell the New York Post YaVaughnie was duped into thinking Phillips was unmarried.
Mr. Phillips issued a statement; "I had an 8½-year serious relationship with YaVaughnie Wilkins. My divorce proceedings began in 2008. The relationship with Ms. Wilkins has since ended and we both wish each other well."
Wilkins must have missed the memo about the relationship ending, and her actions bared what was a very public eight-year affair with Phillips. The two lived together in an $11 million mansion, and together they reportedly went on vacations and were a couple at the Presidential inauguration.
After Charles left YaVaughnie to allegedly repair his marriage, some speculating a run for political office might have been in the works. YaVaughnie reportedly spent $250,000 on three billboards in New York, San Francisco (Oracle headquarters) and Atlanta.
The billboards pointed to a website which is currently down yet Gawker grabbed screen shots of Charles' love letters and photos with YaVaughnie.
