Bettye LaVette joins Robert Plant on July tour

Bettye LaVette is set to join rock icon Robert Plant as the opening guest for his July tour. The singer will also release her new studio album ‘Interpretations: The British Rock Songbook’ on May 25th from Anti and includes a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “All My Love.”

The new album is LaVette’s follow-up to her Grammy-nominated ‘Scene of the Crime,’ and has already earned praise. The singer is also scheduled to perform on The Late Show with David Letterman for June 23rd.
 
Produced by LaVette, Rob Mathes and Michael Stevens, the album is described as a 12-song journey through compositions by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Traffic and Pink Floyd. It also includes LaVette’s rendition of The Who’s “Love Reign O’er Me” from the 2008 Kennedy Center Honors.
