Ben Affleck is in talks to star in and direct Warner Bros.’ action film “Line of Sight.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joel Silver and Andrew Rona are producing through Silver Pictures along with Affleck.
The film centers on an elite commando squad that must deal with a global threat while transporting cargo.
The film will supposedly be told through a point-of-view similar to that of a first-person shooter game much like the “Halo” video game series.
That explains Peter O’Brien, who wrote the game “Halo: Reach,” having written the most recent draft of the script.
F. Scott Frazier wrote the original spec script.
This continues Affleck’s working relationship with Warners having starred in and directed last year’s critical and commercial success “The Town.”
Affleck begins shooting his new film for the studio, the real-life Iran hostage crisis drama “Argo,” in September.
