BBC children’s TV presenter Mark Speight arrested

BBC children’s TV presenter Mark Speight has been arrested, and has been questioned on suspicion of the murder of his girlfriend, Natasha Collins.</P> <P>Natasha’s body was found yesterday in a bath in North London.</P> <P>Mark, who hosts BBC art show SMart, was detained and questioned over her death.</P> <P>SkyNews reports that Mark was bailed on suspicion of murder and supplying cocaine in the early hours of this morning.</P> <P>Mark was arrested at the scene of discovering her body.</P> <P>A statement released on the presenter’s behalf reads:</P> <P>"At the moment no one knows what happened. Mark found her (Natasha’s) body in the bathroom and immediately called an ambulance and the police.</P> <P>"Mark was the only other person present in the flat and has therefore been questioned by the police as a matter of course.</P> <P>"He is assisting police with their enquiries and has nothing to do with Natasha’s death.</P> <P>"Mark is absolutely distraught at the loss of Natasha and hopes that everyone will appreciate what a very sad time this is for both Mark and Natasha’s family."</P>Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
