The brand new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love starring David Essex will open at the Theatre Royal Newcastle on Tuesday September 4, 2007. Following the run in Newcastle, the production will tour to Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Bradford, Stoke on Trent, Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Plymouth, Norwich and Bath.
France 1947. English student Alex Dillingham, travelling through France before his call up, falls in love with the alluring actress Rose Vibert. After a little persuasion, Rose joins Alex at his uncle’s villa. As the pair embark on a passionate affair, the unexpected arrival of Uncle George changes their lives forever. From the cobbled streets of Paris to the mountains of the Pyrenees, Aspects of Love is a heartbreaking love story spanning twenty years. Passion, desire, family ties and friendship bind six people and three generations together as they come to appreciate how love changes everything…
Aspects of Love originally opened in the West End in 1989 and ran successfully for three years. Directed by Trevor Nunn, the production starred Michael Ball, Ann Crumb and Kevin Colson. With lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, the show features the songs Seeing is Believing, Anything But Lonely as well as the international hit Love Changes Everything.
This brand new production is directed by Nikolai Foster. Aspects of Love is produced by Kenny Wax and Michael Harrison in association with PW Productions.
