From Monsters and Critics.com Arts News New York: The Roundabout Theater Company's Off-Broadway production of Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart has announced a one week extension. Originally set to close on April 13th, the play will now run through April 20th at the Laura Pels Theater. Kathleen Turner directs the Beth Henley play which stars Patch Darragh as Doc Porter, Jennifer Dundas as Lenny Magrath, Sarah Paulson as Meg Magrath, Lily Rabe as Babe Botrelle, Jessica Stone as Chick Boyle, and Chandler Williams as Barnette Lloyd. The creative team includes set design by Anna Louizos, costume design by David Murin, lighting design by Natasha Katz, and sound design and original music by John Gromada. In Crimes of the Heart, the Magrath sisters have trouble with men. Lonely Lenny never married, failed singer/actress Meg lost count, and the youngest, Babe married an abuser—and shot him. Now the sisters reunite at Old Granddaddy's home in Hazelhurst, Mississippi to face life's most absurd tragedies. Alone, each woman might call it quits. Together, they'll have the most hilarious time of their lives. For Crimes of the Heart tickets visit www.roundabouttheatre.org. © Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
